I find it odd that a lot of people didn’t really know The Roots until they became Jimmy Fallon’s house band. Some don’t know how insane it is that they are a late night house band. The Roots began in 1987. I respect this group more than I respect most. As Fallon’s house band they’ve been able to truly showcase their talents as we’ve seen them go from playing Jay-Z to Slayer to Prince to everything else. The Roots get it. Know your music. All music. Appreciate everything. Music is truth.
